Sunrise from Eagle Point, just 8 miles east of Hurricane Ridge.  The Olympic National Park is located in Western Washington State, and just south of Vancouver Island(Canada).

An Olympic Marmot sits at the entrance to its burrow near Hurricane Ridge.  Marmots tend to be shy, but this animal tolerated my presence to within 15 yards.  I was standing behind my pickup truck, and left without bothering it.

Devils Club, which is a plant growing in the shadows of the surrounding Cedar trees.  It is found from the Olympic Peninsula all the way thru SE Alaska.  ...and if you ever brush up against a stalk, you'll find out why they call it Devil's Club.

Beautiful Sol duc Falls, which is further west of Hurricane Ridge, and is only a short one mile hike up a well-kept trail.  The falls that you see here are directly below a wooden bridge, which gives you the same opportunity to enjoy the view, mists, and roar of this tumbling falls.
